Renaming Transaction Type

Objective: Gain an understanding of how to navigate to the 'Accounting Configuration' tab and how to rename a Transaction Type in the Admin module.

 

Certain types of transactions can be renamed in the Admin module to use custom terminology relevant to specific organizational needs. To do this, from the Navigation Sidebar, select 'Admin' and select 'Accounting' from the Navigation Dropdown:

 

This will display the following screen:

 

On the right-hand side of the screen, the list of the Accounting Transactions supported by the system is displayed.

Click on the 'Edit' button to rename the Transaction Label as shown in the image below:

 

  • Transaction Label: A text field to rename the Transaction Label.

  • Description: A text field to enter a description.

 

Once the above fields are populated, click 'Save' and this will successfully update the Transaction Label in the system.
